smart meter analysis, not guesswork

Healthcare professional by day, home energy consultant by night — and a home energy nerd for the past six years. What started with my first rooftop solar install in 2020 turned into a deep dive into solar, batteries, EVs, electrification, tariffs, and home energy automation.

Bright Sparks grew out of helping real people — friends, family, colleagues, and eventually physio clients — make smarter home energy decisions. People who wanted honest, practical advice without the sales pitch, the jargon, or the guesswork. I understand the confusion in this space because I lived it. And I've spent six years figuring it out, one step at a time.

Like most people, I began with more questions than answers. I did not fully understand the jargon, the numbers, or how to tell the difference between a smart investment and an expensive mistake. Six years later — after electrifying my own home step by step and helping many others do the same — I built Bright Sparks to make that process easier for everyone.

I'm not tied to suppliers or installers, and there are no behind-the-scenes deals influencing the advice you get. The focus is simple: your home, your usage, your goals, and the decisions most likely to save you money.

The Bright Sparks difference

We don't guess.
We analyse.

Most online tools size solar, batteries, and electrification upgrades based on your house size, household size, and a list of appliances. That's a starting point — but it's still a guess. Bright Sparks analyses 12 months of your actual smart meter data to see how your home really uses energy.
